Limestone sealing serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it curbs the growth of organic matter within the limestone. By limiting water absorption, the sealed limestone discourages the proliferation of black and green algae. While certain areas of the limestone may still experience some organic growth after sealing, the presence of the sealant makes it easier to clean compared to unsealed limestone.
Secondly, limestone sealing safeguards the structural integrity of the stone. Water penetration and the ensuing freeze-thaw cycles can cause erosion, cracks, chips, and crumbling in limestone. Although the sealant itself doesn’t provide structural support, it fortifies the existing structure by reducing water penetration and absorption.
Our meticulous limestone sealing process is carried out by our highly skilled and experienced technicians at Poseidon Power Washing. They utilize advanced sprayers and precision rollers to expertly apply the limestone sealant, ensuring an even and efficient coverage. In addition to the application of the sealant, our dedicated experts go the extra mile by thoroughly cleaning the limestone surface beforehand. This meticulous cleaning process guarantees not only an impeccable appearance but also promotes optimal adhesion of the sealant to the stone, maximizing its effectiveness and longevity. With our attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding results, you can trust us to enhance and protect your limestone structures with the utmost care and expertise.
